I'm a nerd in possession of diverse and sundry skills.
From 2004 through 2011 I specialized in web design for local businesses. I still do some web design, but I'm very selective about taking on new projects in this area. If you are a web customer with a site which was created with the StoragoCMS system, you can still manage it by visiting the StoragoCMS Web Control Panel. Most of my web design work was done using PHP and hand-coded XHTML, CSS3 and JavaScript.
During 2010 and 2011, I also opened and ran a Linux-focused computer store in Roseburg called Community Computer Center, selling and repairing computers, teaching classes, and also functioning as a Free Software Distributor.
From 2012 to 2014, I worked in the call center industry, and developed the skills necessary to build a custom call center platform based on the Asterisk VoIP server technology. During this time period, my experience with Asterisk also enabled me to begin working for NocTel, a business VoIP provider, eventually becoming their Chief Cloud Services Architect, a position I held until December 2016.
I continue to do occasional VoIP related consulting, and since 2014, I have also worked as a contractor on the Meeting Technical Services team for the Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers (ICANN.)
